Knolltop Farm Wife (Melissa Hart)

Welcome to my blog! I'm a wife, mother of four and a self-employed freelance writer. In addition to writing, I am involved in producing several dairy magazines and am the editor of Dairy Agenda Today where I have a blog there as well! This is a place where I can get what's in my head, down on paper (the internet). I hope you find encouragement and maybe a giggle or two!

Heading out on a snowy day

It's snowing here on the Knolltop and it sounds like we're going to have a good storm tonight. They are predicting anywhere from 6-12 inches...so we'll probably get 2.

Today we will have our last Christmas celebration with my family. We will get together and open presents, eat and fill ourselves til we're miserable and then eat a little more...small bites don't have any calories you know. Then we'll watch and help the kids play with their new toys. My brother and his wife and two boys will be there along with my crowd. My sister said she just can't make it from Montana to here this morning...so she will miss out. She's got cows to milk anyway...she can't be gone all day!

The bad thing is, I messed up, I didn't even think about asking what I was to bring for the gathering today until last night. So I will show up with the strange combination of fudge and cheese and crackers. I made the fudge last night while I was wrapping the last of the presents. And what a blessing...we ran out of scotch tape and had to use masking tape! We are such a mess around here!

Well, better get going to grandmas house!

Hey sweet girl==If I had wanted you to bring something, I'd have told you!! I figure it's enough for you to get everyone into that car, leave the cows, and drive here and we sure weren't short of food. In fact, I'm kicking myself for not sending some of it home with you--my brain just wasn't working. IIt was great to have all of you here but we missed Bobby--he would have added a nice touch to the festivities. Sometimes those "working girls" mess up the best laid plans. I hope everyone reading this knows that I'm talking about cows!! Loved the day and we'll see you at the next b-ball game { I hope} mom
